Hospice Volunteers provide:
- Respite for caregivers
- Education and support to patients and families
- Office and administrative assistance
Volunteering for HCNU hospice will benefit you too! HCNU will provide 12 hours of training and ongoing support and education. Students can add this to their resume and references. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice communication skills, rapport building, medical knowledge and terminology, social work and psychosocial skills and knowledge.
Most importantly, you will be helping others feel good!
