To enforce and strengthen laws that protect the opportunities, choices and legal rights of people with disabilities in Utah.

The Disability Law Center is a private, non-profit organization designated by the Governor to protect the rights of people with disabilities in Utah. Their services are statewide, available at no cost, and include:

  • Legal Advice and Representation
  • Investigations
  • Self Advocacy Training
  • Legal Rights Training
  • Legislative Advocacy

The Disability Law Center can help with a wide variety of legal matters in the areas of:

  • Abuse and neglect
  • Discrimination in housing, public places and employment
  • Voting access
  • Medicaid, Medicare or other insurance denial of assistive technology
  • Special Education
  • Vocational Rehab services
  • Work related Social Security overpayments
  • and many other disability-related topics
