Artist: John Henri Moser (1876-1951)
Biography: The Moser family emigrated to America in 1888 and crossed plains in a covered wagon. Settled in Payson UT and later moved to Logan UT. Moser enrolled at USAC in School of Engineering but changed to Art. Traveled to Paris, France to study with Impressionists. Taught at USAC and agricultural college in Cedar City before moving to homestead at Malad, Idaho. Ranched and painted there for eight years. Received numerous awards for his paintings and exhibited throughout the country. Recognized as a contributor to Utah art history.
