Artist: Clara Irene Thompson Fletcher (1900-1969)
Biography: Born in Hooper UT. Studied with Calvin Fletcher at USAC whom she married in 1926. Mother to seven children and seven stepchildren. Nationally recognized as a modern artist. In 1938 was one of five Utah artists whose work was selected for National American Art Show in NYC. Member of the Modern Art Movement of Utah, organized in 1941. Painted mural specifically for Logan Library at 90 North 100 East location.
Notes: Mural attached to plaster walls at library, 90 N. 100 E in 1934. Removed in 1987; restored and hung at 255 N Main Library, 1989.
