The Cache Valley Storytelling Institute, LLC and The Friends of the Logan Library present the Cache Valley Storytelling Festival
'Once Upon A Time' and not so long ago Wayne McKay, a former entrepreneur, educator and international consultant left that life behind so he and Katie, his sweetheart of 41 years, could hunker down beside the hearth of their humble cottage in beautiful Cache Valley, Utah to sing songs and swap tales to their hearts content.
But, it wasn't long before Wayne, with a little prodding from a friend, discovered a marvelous event called a storytelling festival which began to fill his head with dreams of his home, beautiful Cache Valley, with a festival of its own.
Then in the fall of 2013 he decided to make that dream a reality. And as fortune would have it several months later he met a gentleman named Ted Erekson who had a similar dream. So, they joined forces and with the blessing and support of their wives, Katie and Meg, along with a-lot of hard work and a few choice volunteers the embodiment of that dream, the Cache Valley Storytelling Festival, "Fun, Wholesome, Live Entertainment" the whole family can enjoy . . . became a reality.
This year marks the third year for the Cache Valley Storytelling Festival and is being held the 9th thru the 11th of June 2016 in Merlin Olsen Central Park Logan, Utah. Six Feature Storytellers, several Mystery Storytellers, a couple of outstanding Youth Storytellers will be there to entertain you.
This years Feature Storytellers include: Kim Weitkamp, Bernadette Nason, Bil Lepp, Clive Romney, Ted Erekson, and Wayne McKay.
