The Woodruff public school first opened in September 1892 with seven school rooms and 350 pupils in attendance daily. The Logan City school athletic program began here in 1908 with the installation of a couple of basketball hoops. The building was later sold to Brigham Young College. In 1939 the building was sold to the Utah Agricultural College and it was subsequently torn down in 1960.
