Baugh/Farnes/Nelson House

This house was built sometime after 1884 by George H. and Elizabeth (Knowles) Baugh. Baugh worked for many years as the Express Agent for the railroad. After Baugh, the home was owned by a Mr. M. Mauritsen. In 1916 Arthur and Zina (Stratton) Farnes purchased the home and subsequently raised their six children there. Arthur died in 1928 and Zina in 1950. Their daughter Flora and her husband Arta Vaughn Nelson then owned the house until shortly after her death in 1991.
