This summer, we want everyone to dig into reading! Dig into dinosaur books, dig into gardening books, books about construction, animals, archaeology, outer space, history, mysteries, sports, funny books, scary books, silly books, thoughtful books, joke books, or books about the beach. Dig deep into all kinds of books and have fun reading about what you like!
Sign-ups for the Children's Summer Reading Program begin on Monday, June 3rd.
Children 10 and under.
Sign up for the Summer Reading Program, then read for at least 20 minutes each day. You may count the time you spend reading picture books, chapter books, informational books, comic books, newspapers, or magazines. You may also count the time you spend listening to books that are read to you, or to recorded books. There are no assignments (and never any tests) - you choose what you want to read!
Keep track of your reading on your Reading Card and you will get a small prize when you bring the completed card back to the library. You may turn in one reading card every two weeks. You can earn up to four prizes this summer, just by reading!
Daniel Bishop, the Storyteller, will present "Dig into the Dirt!" - a bunch of gross, muddy, dirt-covered, need-to-wash-behind-your-ears tales for children ages 5-10. (No actual dirt is involved!)
Tickets are required to attend this storytime - pick yours up at the children's desk or the Information Desk at the library. There are a limited number of tickets, and when they're gone, they're gone! Get yours soon!
Ewa Wilczynski presents "Music for the Small and Tall," a music program for children ages 18 months to 4 years old (and their parents). This storytime combines music and movement songs and skills. Pre-registration is required. Register online, by phone (716-7123), or at the children's desk.
Join us at the Logan Library for a drop-in storytime presented by the Logan Library's own storytellers! Dig into Reading with fun stories for all ages. No registration is required.
