Staff Reading Pick
Book: Let Me Die In His Footsteps by Lori Roy
Recommended by: Melanie
Two families, touched by an evil that has passed between generations in the Kentucky hills, led by superstition and ritual, finally come together to solve the mysteries that surround the incident that formed their hatred and shaped their lives. Spellbinding and suspenseful.
What a beautiful and lyrical novel. One of my favorites so far this year. Roy is so descriptive in her narrative that I could almost smell the dust and lavender. I see why this author has won awards for her writing and I definitely will be going back to read her earlier works.
