Staff Reading Pick
Here is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.
Book: Redwall by Brian Jacques
Recommended by: Joseph, Nonfiction Librarian
For some reason I waited decades to read this book and thankfully it didn't let me down. Join the novitiate mouse Matthias as he struggles to protect Redwall Abbey from evil and fulfill his warrior destiny! Vivid characters and a traditional good vs. bad plot make for an exciting adventure for older children.

2011 USU Common Literature Experience
Zeitoun by Dave Eggers has been selected as the 2011 USU Common Literature Experience book. Each year a book is chosen by a selection committee for all USU Connections students to read during the summer. The Cache Valley community is also encouraged to read the book and attend the convocation talk by award-winning journalist Chris Rose on Saturday, August 27 at USU.
Joseph Anderson, Logan Library's representative on the committee, shares his thoughts about Zeitoun: "I loved this book. It's a fantastic modern Odyssey of one man's struggles to do right and return to his family in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. And the amazing part is that it's true. You won't be disappointed."
Logan Library has five copies of the book, one audio CD, and access to the eAudiobook for our patrons. For more information about the book, the author, or the convocation speaker, visit the USU Literature Experience website.
