On the one side disturbing and shocking and on the other spiritual and encouraging. This is the story of two families who overcame tremendous challenges in a way that I found inspiring.

Bookcover: The Speed of DarkHere is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.

Book: The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon
Recommended by: Debbie, Associate Librarian
In a future world where a cure for adult autism has been discovered, the hero of this book has to decide whether or not he wants to be "cured".  This book, while written as fiction, gives a good insight to how people with autism think and function in a society of "normal" people.
