The Logan Library is participating in the USU Women's Center annual Mitten Tree. To donate simply place new mittens, hats, scarves, or socks on the tree located in the Logan Library before December 4. You can also donate at one of the locations listed on the Women's Center website.

The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will also close early, at 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 21. We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, November 24.

The 2007 National Book Award winners have been announced. The winners are:

• Young People's Literature: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
• Poetry: Time and Materials by Robert Hass
• Nonfiction: Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA by Tim Weiner
• Fiction: Tree of Smoke by Denis Johnson
