The Everton Genealogy Collection is hosting an open house to celebrate its first year of operation. The open house will be held from 1-4 pm on Saturday, October 13. Come to the open house and:

• See a nationally known genealogy collection.
• Speak with the collection librarian about your family history.
• Enjoy light refreshments.
• Register for free genealogy gifts.

The Everton Collection is located in the Logan Justice Building at 290 N 100 W in Logan.

Registration for the next block of Storytime starts Monday, October 8 at 10:00 a.m. You can register online, by phone, or in person at the library. This block of Storytime runs six weeks from October 23 to December 6. For more information, visit our Storytime page.

This week (Sept 29 - Oct 6) is Banned Books Week. Banned Books week is an annual event that celebrates freedom to read or the freedom to express one's opinion even if that opinion might be considered unorthodox or unpopular and stresses the importance of ensuring the availability of those unorthodox or unpopular viewpoints to all who wish to read them.
