In order to plan for our new Logan Library we will be holding a series of public and community meetings beginning January 17, 2008. These meetings will give Logan citizens an opportunity to share their vision for a new Logan Library. We will use the ideas we gather at these meetings as we develop a library design and cost estimate. Visit the New Library web page for more information and updates.

Right now many local students are busy working on their History Fair projects. Here are a few websites with primary source documents to help students get started:

• American Memory from the Library of Congress: written and spoken words, sound recordings, and images that document the American experience.
• Utah Digital Newspapers: Utah newspapers from the late 19th to mid 20th centuries.
• History Matters: primary documents about the experiences of ordinary Americans throughout U.S. history.
• Our Documents: 100 milestone documents from U.S. history.

January is National Hobby Month. The Logan Library has books and booklists to help you develop almost any hobby. For example:

• If you have an artistic hobby, check out our drawing and sketching or painting booklists.

• If you spend your time researching your family roots, then you'll probably like our family history and genealogical research lists.
