Combining the Russian fable "Little Daughter of the Snow" with a time and location of 1920's Alaska, "The Snow Child" is an enchanting read. Ivey's descriptions are so realistic that I felt like I was in Alaska. The characters are intriguing and very human - or are they? Add this title to your list of 'must reads.'
