Did you know that the Logan Library has a growing collection of Spanish-language materials? Our Spanish collection has over 2000 items including:

• Picture books and other materials for children.
• Classic novels and bestsellers for adults.
• Nonfiction books such as cookbooks, immigration guides, computer manuals, and more.
• Audiovisual materials such as CDs and DVDs.

Much of the Spanish collection was purchased using money we received from Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grants. Last year we used $3000 in LSTA money to purchase 200 items for this collection, and we plan to add more items in the coming year.

Yesterday was one of the busiest days that the Logan Library has ever had. In fact, we broke two records.

• Circulation: 5,060 items were checked out, making it our highest circulation day ever. On a typical busy weekday we circulate about 3,000 items.
• Summer Reading Program: Yesterday was the first day to sign up for the Summer Reading Program, and we had 510 children register. This is the most sign ups we have ever had in one day.

Thanks for using the library and keeping us so busy. We hope to have many more record breaking days.
