Award Winning Fiction
Two new book awards were announced recently.
Ann Leckie has been awarded the 2014 Hugo Award for her novel Ancillary Justice. The Hugo Awards, presented annually since 1955 at the World Science Fiction Convention, are science fiction's most prestigious award. The novel has also won the Nebula, British Science Fiction, Locus Magazine and Arthur C. Clarke Awards.
Richard Flanagan has been awarded the 2014 Man Booker Prize for his novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North. The Man Booker Prize promotes the finest in fiction by rewarding the very best book of the year. The prize is the world's most important literary award and has the power to transform the fortunes of authors and publishers.
The Logan Library has ordered a copy of The Narrow Road to the Deep North. In the meantime consider reading one of the past Booker Prize winners available at the Library.
