More Bookclub Kit Titles
Is your book club looking for something new to read? Then you'll be pleased to hear that we recently added over 35 titles to our book club kit collection. Each kit consists of 8-10 copies of a book along with a discussion guide. Book club kits circulate for six weeks, and they can be reserved up to six months in advance. ALA Literary Awards
The American Library Association announced their book award winners yesterday. The winners of the children's book awards are:
John Newbery Medal for the most outstanding contribution to children's literature.
When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead.
Randolph Caldecott Medal for the most distinguished American picture book for children
The Lion & The Mouse by Jerry Pinkney
Robert F. Sibert Medal for most distinguished informational book for children:
Almost Astronauts: 13 Women Who Dared to Dream by Tanya Lee Stone
Michael L. Printz Award for excellence in literature written for young adults:
Going Bovine by Libba Bray
YALSA Excellence in Nonfiction Award for excellence in informational books for young adults:
Charles and Emma: The Darwins Leap of Faith by Deborah Heiligman
