Come and meet author Mette Ivie Harrison
Mette Ivie Harrison, author of the popular Mormon mystery, The Bishop's Wife will visit the Logan Library Tuesday, July 14th, at 3:00 p.m. She will talk about her book along with other projects.
Ms. Harrison has authored seven Young Adult novels, including award-winning Mira, Mirror and The Princess and the Hound. She holds a PhD from Princeton University in Germanic Languages and Literatures, is a nationally ranked triathlete, and is the mother of five children. She lives in Layton, Utah with her husband. She also writes a blog for The Huffington Post about Mormonism.
When: Tuesday, July 14th at 3:00 p.m.
Where: Lake Bonneville Room
The presentation is free and open to the public.

Friends of the Library Special Book Sale - LAST DAY
Today is the last day of the Friends of the Logan Library Special book sale. Hours today are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
New today is a large box of Louis L'Amour books - mass market hardbound and regular hardbound and more wildlife and world history books.
The book sale is being held at the bookstore located just inside the west entrance of the Logan Library.
Bring grocery size plastic bags and fill them with books for $5.00 a bag.
Regular bookstore hours:
Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Come and stock up on some good books for the summer.

Centennial Celebration at Logan Library - 1920
The Logan Library is hosting a 1920's extravaganza and everyone is invited! As part of the Logan Library Centennial celebrations we are holding a "Roaring 20's" event.
When: June 18, 2015 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Join us for a showing of 'The Great Gatsby' starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Virginia Hanson Special Collections room.
Or discover our speakeasy club called 'The Banned Book' hidden in the library, and join in the dancing and craziness!
Learn how to dance the Charleston with 20-minute lessons given at 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.!
You can even enjoy a mocktail! Remember the password 'blind pig' to get into this exclusive club.
Come dressed in your finest 1920's attire (though you are still welcome to come and participate if you aren't dressed up).
