This summer you can have fun reading and win prizes too. Our annual Summer Reading Program starts on June 2, and we have two programs:

• Catch the Reading Bug: for children ages birth to 12.
• Metamorphosis @ Your Library: for adults and teens.

Both programs give you the chance to win prizes for the books you read. Children who sign-up for the Catch The Reading Bug program between June 2 and June 14 will be entered into a drawing to win a set of three books written by Doreen Cronin and illustrated by Harry Bliss, the artist who created this year's Summer Reading Program artwork. The winners will also receive a set of three finger puppets featuring the main characters from these books.

Earth Day is on Tuesday, April 22. Celebrate the day by reading one of the books from our environment booklists. We have books on:

• Conservation
• Endangered Species
• Recycling
• And other environmental topics.

This week, April 13-19, is National Library Week. National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.

This year's National Library Week Theme is "Join the Circle of Knowledge @ Your Library". The Logan Library is celebrating with displays related to this theme and contests for patrons of all ages. Come visit the library to enter one of our drawings for a gift card to a local bookstore.
