This Week is National Library Week. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. This year's theme is Worlds Connect @ Your Library. To celebrate, we are highlighting all of the ways that the Logan Library helps you connect to the world around you.


Adults and Teens who explore library resources will have a chance to win a Zen Mozaic MP3 player. Children can enter to win a Webkinz stuffed animal and a corresponding book. For more information, visit our National Library Week page.

There is still one month left of our 2008 Summer Reading Program. If you're 12 and under, it's not too late to sign-up for the children's program. If you've already signed-up be sure to turn in your reading records to collect your prizes.

If you're over 12 you can participate in our program for adults and teens. Just fill out an entry slip for each book you read for a chance to win a free book.

We are holding our regular Book Sale on Friday, July 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the library conference room. In addition to used books, we are selling cassettes, CDs, videos and DVDs. Most items are priced between 50¢ and $2.00.
