Bookcover: Darkness over DenmarkHere is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.

Book: Darkness Over Denmark by Ellen Levine
Recommended by: Barbara, Library Technical Assistant
This is the wonderful story of the people of Denmark who during one night helped rescue more than 1,000 Jews by ferrying them to neutral Sweden. Almost all of the 8,000 Jews living in Denmark survived because of the bravery of the Danes. It is good to know that some stood up when they were needed. Instead of watching, they chose to act.

Bookcover: The Society of Unrelenting VigilanceHere is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.

Book: The Society of Unrelenting Vigilance by Glenn Dakin
Recommended by: Katrina, Library Technical Assistant
Theo is a lonely teenager with a mysterious illness who only knows three people in the world. When that suddenly changes, societies of good and evil vie for the mysterious power he harbors. This is a fast paced adventure through modern and Victorian London and the secret underground world beneath it. It is the first book of The Candle Man series, and I can't wait for the next one!

Bookcover: what i saw and how i liedHere is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.

Book: What I Saw and How I Lied by Judy Blundell
Recommended by: Kara, Young Adult Services Librarian
This National Book Award winner is part murder mystery, part historical fiction, and part coming of age story. It's targeted at young adults, but its film noir vibe and enticing story will keep adults turning the pages too.
