Bookcover: One DayHere is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.

Book: One Day by David Nicholls
Recommended by: Kara, Young Adult Librarian
Starting in 1988, One Day follows Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew for nearly 20 years, checking in with them on every July 15 to see the turns their lives and friendship have taken. You will alternately cheer for and ache with these two likable but very human characters as they experience growth and setbacks with each passing year. Be sure to read it before the movie comes out in July.

Bookcover: The Mountain Between UsHere is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.

Book: The Mountain Between Us by Charles Martin
Recommended by: Karen, Senior Librarian
I was intrigued by the description of a survival story that takes place in the high Uintas.  Once I began reading, I could not put it down!  This novel is so much more than a survival story and an endurance tale; it is the story of  an honorable man, the power of love and his amazing journey to redemption.

Bookcover: Major Pettigrew's Last StandHere is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff.

Book: Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson
Recommended by: Lois, Associate Librarian
Major Ernest Pettigrew doesn't realize what a lonely widower he is until me meets Jasmina Ali, a village shop owner.  The embodiment of British duty and pride, the Major negotiates landmines of greed, selfishness, culture and romance in this charming, witty novel.  Take a walk through the modern English countryside with the unforgettable Major Pettigrew.  You won't regret a minute spent in his company!
