Book: Breakup by Dana Stabenow Recommended by: Barbara, Library Technical Assistant Breakup is about what happens when Kate Shugak, a 5 foot 120 pound Aleut and former DA investigator from Anchorage, moves to her father's homestead in the Alaskan Bush. This book has mystery, humor, and lots of excitement. From a jet engine that falls off of a 727, to a bear attack, to a Hatfield type feud, there is never a dull moment. ![]() Here is another reading pick from the Logan Library Staff. Book: Fractured by Karin Slaughter Recommended by: Danielle, Bridgerland Literacy Director Will Trent grew up in state care, has scars from physical and emotional abuse, and is severly dyslexic. However, for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Trent is the best investigator around, the best puzzle solver. In Fractured, Trent is brought in to help with a heartbreaking local crime scene where one teenage girl is dead and another is missing. Trent is a fascinating character in this thrilling story. Book: Cassandra's Sister by Veronica Bennett Recommended by: Kara, Young Adult Librarian Cassandra's Sister is a charming, fictional account of young Jane Austen. It follows Jane for nearly a decade as she travels the countryside, attends balls, experiences romance, and eventually writes novels based on her experiences.
