Blacklisted artist Claire Roth makes a living copying classic paintings for a reproduction company. Then one day her dream of a one-woman show in a fabulous gallery seems within her grasp. She'll get her reward if she's able to fool museum professionals and re-create a stolen painting by Degas. Not just any painting but one from the still unsolved 1990 art heist at Boston's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. (If you're a curious person, you'll read up on quirky, rich Isabella and the famous art theft that's background for this story.) How Beautiful: A Pictorial History of the Logan Temple

Join us for a public viewing of How Beautiful: A Pictorial History of the Logan Temple on Thursday, March 7th at 7 PM in the Jim Bridger Room.

Following the success of his books, local historian Darrin Smith has now completed the first volume of a documentary film series on the history of the Logan LDS Temple.

The film features photographs collected from institutions all over Utah and from the personal collection of the author. Readers of his book of the same title will be pleased to see three times as many photographs along with engaging narration and sound effects.

Movie Night Special Feature: Lloyd Alexander Documentary

Come to the library on Thursday, February 21 at 7 PM for a free showing of the new biographical documentary LLOYD ALEXANDER by Utah filmmaker Jared Crossley!

One of America's premier authors of children's fantasy, Lloyd Alexander is best known for the Chronicles of Prydain, including the 1969 Newbery winner The High King. This documentary gives fans a never-before-seen glimpse of the life and writings of this beloved author, including an in-depth look at the land of Prydain.

Longtime fans of Lloyd Alexander and eager new readers alike will enjoy this heartwarming look at America's High King of Fantasy.

Crossley will be in attendance to introduce the film. Event will be held in the Jim Bridger Room. Sponsored by the Adult Nonfiction and Children's divisions at the Logan Library.
