Great Backyard Bird Count The annual Great Backyard Bird Count, a continent-wide winter bird-watching event, will take place over President's Day weekend. People from across the U.S. and Canada will be counting and reporting birds via the internet as part of one of the world's largest volunteer bird-watching efforts. Birds can be counted in your own backyard, in your neighborhood or at your favorite bird-watching site. Spend as much time as you wish during the four-day count period.
